Riley was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and graduated from Homestead High School. He went on to study at Indiana University, where he earned his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice. Following graduation, Riley joined the firm as a law clerk, gaining valuable hands-on experience working directly alongside Robert Boughter on personal injury matters throughout Indiana.

During his time as a law clerk, Riley developed a comprehensive understanding of personal injury litigation, including preparing for depositions, reviewing medical records, managing pre-litigation matters, and handling discovery.
